OYPA Creatrix!: greetings, i'm happy to be OYPA's Program Director. i'm also a graduate student at York University, and a loving radical-in-training. i like to challenge, dream, and deconstruct. i'm learning to create what i envision, live what i dream, and build stuff from the rubble.

Natasha Burford
I am an individual who loves to learn. My passion is to know
about everything and anything in life. I consider myself diverse
and open-minded. An optimist at heart. My hobbies include dancing,
community service, and traveling. I have traveled to Europe,
the Caribbean, much of the United States, and some of Canada. I
believe traveling gives one an education that can not be attained
in a classroom. My purpose in life, which is still being carved out,
is to be a catalyst of change. My commitment is to human
development and justice. More than just living, my duty is to leave
a legacy that tells the story that this world is a little better
beacuse I was here. As idealistic as that may sound, that is my
hope. If I can empower people, specifically youth, to engage
in contributing positively to the world than I have achieved
my purpose. I have had the opportunity to be involved in many
organizations: African Heritage Network, Jamaican Canadian
Association, Yonge Street Missions and Leaders in Training
Conferences, as well as mission trips in the Caribbean. These are
what contributes to my self-development and makes me know that I
am making a difference!
